Transformable Home
Transformable Home is a portable shelter designed for the homeless of Spokane, Washington specifically in Glass Alley. It uses corrugated polypropylene, and insulation to create a shelter that will be able to withstand the seasons in Spokane. The main design feature of Transformable Home is its interlocking panels, which lower the costs of hardware and makes the structure easy to erect. With Transformable Home the user can change the shape of the shelter into one of the five options using a plywood door frame. This plywood door frame has its own interlocking system that creates the shape that the user prefers adding personality to the shelter. The façade of the shelter has a voronoi pattern that allows for more transformation, from a pop-up shop, to added natural ventilation as well as the ability to add furniture.
