Two Click Home
When coming up with a design for this project there was a lot of exploration and figuring out best ideas that could be practical and easy to install. I wanted to focus on the occupants being comfortable to walk inside and can have a secure night sleep. When visiting the homeless shelters, their main concerns were safety and being able to cover themselves from the harsh weather. I also wanted to incorporate a shop so they could make a living off it and be more of a transitional home and later be used as a shop to continue making revenue from. This design has two clicking forms to accommodate the user. The first click is mainly for sleeping, it is 4 feet in height and elongates the sides so it can accommodate more sleeping room for the users, also making it ADA accessible. The second click is for the shop to be functional of daily activities, and it has a height of 6 feet. Two of the walls have sliding pallets that when shut are flush but when moved create a space for storage and, allow more wind to flow through the structure.
